La Plage
The beach at Camping et Plage Belley is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Quebec. Stretching over 3 km, this white sand beach has nothing to envy from our neighbors to the south. Lively during hot summer days, it presents a magnificent and soothing spectacle when the sun sets over Lac-Saint-Jean.
Here are the characteristics of the beach in more detail:
Accessibility: located a few kilometers between the Alma and Dolbeau Mistassini sectors.
Beach with fine, soft, white sand.
Sandy lake bottom.
Length of the beach: almost 3 km.
Difference in level of the lake bottom: very low.
(6' deep at a distance of 300'.)
Water depth to Belley Island: Maximum 3'.
Beach lifeguard from the end of June to the end of August: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Average water temperature in July: between 75°F and 85°F.
Beach orientation: south.
Daily beach traffic: 3,000 to 5,000 bathers.
Cans only. No glass containers.
Pets are strictly prohibited on the beach. They must remain tied up on the campsite.
