THE HISTORY

On the morning of Saturday, August 7, 1954, during a landlocked salmon fishing trip on Lac Saint-Jean, Mr. Fernand Belley patiently waited for the coveted, combative freshwater salmon to bite his line. Sailing in his rowboat in the St-Henri-de-Taillon area, he dropped anchor near a small island. He was then captivated by the beauty of the site: the land was pristine, the beach magnificent, and the lake splendid. A few days later, he purchased this corner of paradise and, with the help of his sons, began to realize his dream: to create a family gathering place where his children could enjoy all kinds of activities on the lakeshore.
In July 2016, the Belley family passed the torch of this family gem to two regional entrepreneurs to ensure the continuity of this wonderful work and thus offer individuals and families the chance to enjoy this campsite, which now has 360 pitches with or without services, 15 magnificent ready-to-camp sites and a fine sandy beach of almost 3 km.
It is a source of regional pride to be able to offer such wonderful moments on this enchanting site and to the entire population, for so many years and for many more to come.
